Understanding Skin
Guess what?
- All skin has texture and pores.
- Blemishes and wrinkles do not define you or your beauty.
- No product is magical potion and promises of "curing" your skin are cruel.
- Consistency is π₯.
Trust me when I tell you that your complexion is the least interesting thing about you.
As someone who has battled horrific, painful [emotionally and physically] cystic acne, I am not downplaying how it feels to have βproblematicβ skin.
Hereβs the tea though: some folks just have really good genetics, and thatβs why they have clear skin. Itβs not because theyβre using a magical product, or drinking a lot water, or that youβre not washing your face enough, or whatever other bogus claim the beauty industry wants you to think.
You need to simplify your skincare β cleanser, moisturizer, and spf always. Anything else you add to your routine is supplemental and not always necessary. Can additional products help? For sure, but do you ππππ
them? Not always.
Thatβs why I do my best to bring you products that are straightforward and effective, but with options. Skin chemistry is unique, like you.
Iβll never pitch you a 10-step/10-product skincare ritual. But I ππππ tell you to be consistentΒ and be patient. [Why? Because skin cells on average have a 28-day skin cycle so good things take time.]
