All matter is made of 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐒. Your entire body is comprised of chemicals + nothing to be afraid of. Everything you can breathe, see, ingest, or touch is made up of chemicals.
Yet I see this chemical-free misconception constantly roaming around in the “green” or “clean” beauty industry. It’s a fear mongering tactic employed by some brands to fool you into believing their products are superior or demonstrably safer than other products on the market. It’s highly misleading, insidious, + a gross sales tool.
While I may have a different perspective on this, every time I see this fallacy perpetuated, it makes me wonder how much the brand understands basic science + chemistry, + about the efficacy of their products.
It’s more than just semantics. You as a consumer are being duped by this erroneous chemical-free claim. You deserve accuracy in advertising + should not be lied to. These claims are spreading scientific ignorance + leading to the erosion of critical thinking among the general population.
Please do not fall trap to this.
